I enjoy working with all adults and gender identities, with a special interest and extensive training in couple counselling, grief and navigating difficult life transitions.
When going through challenging life stages of parenting, empty nest or marital separation things can feel overwhelming and uncertain.
My goal as a social worker is to provide you the opportunity to reflect, problem-solve and heal as you discover how to live your new life. When appropriate, I may discuss the option of EMDR therapy as a tool for us to use to help you process tough memories or trauma.
I’m also very comfortable helping clients struggling with mood disorders, gain strength through spirituality, and aging brain/dementia. I pride myself on being an approachable, empathetic and patient therapist who will help you to discover your inner strengths and resiliency.

My goal as a psychotherapist is to always provide a warm, welcoming and safe space for all gender identities and backgrounds. All are welcome and invited to share their voice with me! I am a passionate ally to the LGBTQ2S+community.
Throughout my time and training as a therapist, I have particular experience in working with women and young adults experiencing low self-esteem, self-identity, body-image issues, depression, anxiety, and any person feeling lost, stressed or unsure of life and the confusing feelings that come with them.
I offer a relaxed and friendly counselling approach as I value your trust and willingness to share, and understand that can sometimes make you feel vulnerable, scared, and maybe even a little awkward at first. The therapy space I provide is free of judgement and criticism, a safe space to cry and sit with whatever feelings you may currently be experiencing.
My hope is that together through counselling and psychotherapy we can heal whatever past or present issue you are facing, I can offer a new perspective, support, and will always aim to help you feel empowered to face whatever life’s next challenge will be.

I’m passionate about working with a range of clients of all ages and gender identities, many of who have experienced trauma or other overwhelming life stressors that shape how they’re currently viewing and living in the world.
I have a particular passion for working with adolescents and young adults. Trauma and emotional dysregulation (super-feelers, who feel huge emotions hard and often) are big areas of focus for me.
I work with my clients as an equal partner in investigating and learning to cope with overwhelming life problems. I use trauma-informed and trauma-specific treatment modalities to work with you to stabilize where you’re at, starting with coping skills, tools and strategies, then beginning to reprocess and overcome distressing memories and stories. We are working towards an integrated sense of self, all the while focusing on building the life you want to live.
Other people describe me as a warm, gentle, inquisitive presence and someone who is unfailingly non-judgmental and collaborative in my approach.
Every approach is highly individualized and can be eclectic at times and I will draw upon my skills and knowledge to create a plan that is unique to you. Always with the ultimate goal of getting you to the kind of stable, solid ground that best positions you to reconcile the past and move forward with confidence, capability and self-worth.
I have studied many different therapeutic approaches and I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) which is a powerful and groundbreaking therapy that can assist in your healing.
I would be honoured to guide and support you on your path towards a life you deserve.

My approach is primarily feminist and client centred - to put it simply, it’s all about you. I believe in the importance of understanding how the systems we live in influence how we make sense of our experiences.
Sometimes we don’t have the word to name what we’re experiencing. Sometimes we need someone to remind us it wasn’t our fault.
Understanding how society creates roles for us can also help us understand how we might be performing those roles in ways that don’t feel like they’re working anymore.
The most important thing for me is ensuring client safety and comfort in the therapy space. My style is warm and welcoming, giving you the freedom to guide our work at a pace that is comfortable for you. I believe in checking in and making sure we’re on the same page.
I have loads of experience working from cross cultural lenses and trauma informed perspectives. I think the most important part of the therapeutic journey is being able to trust and confide in your therapist, and that role is one I take very importantly.
In any space we create together, you have the power to communicate boundaries, needs, and expectations. You’re safe here.
Let’s take that first step together, I’d like to help you!

I also have specialized experiences in working in the area of grief and loss.
I strive to form a positive therapeutic relationship with you in which you can explore and experience all the emotions which may come with grief of any nature, but also believe strongly in the concept of making meaning out of our experiences to be able to move through them in a positive way, at a time when it can make sense for you.

Having the opportunity to help others is what lights the fire in my soul. As a Registered Social Worker, it is my passion to help others recognize their own strengths and live life to their fullest potential, despite the challenges they may find themselves facing along the way.
I recognize how challenging seeking counselling support can be and am very intentional in making the space a comfortable and safe environment. I work through a trauma-informed lens and use a conversational approach to help make the heavy stuff a little easier to discuss.
I utilize aspects of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), combined with Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to help clients learn how to identify and cope with their emotions and challenge their unhelpful thoughts.
I recognize the impact in a compassionate heart, a listening ear, and having a community of supporters. I would love to be a part of your healing journey and help you create a treatment plan specific to you.
